Hey, thanks for stopping by and checking things out here at Project: Fire My Boss.  I just want to introduce myself and tell you a little about who I am.  My name is  Ray, I am married, and we have twin girls that our the love of our lives.  I am currently a driver for a medical supply company.  Some of the things I enjoy are my time with my family, fishing, working on the computer, and sports. GO GIANTS.

A little while back I was off from work for a short time.  Actually it was a few months, but it seemed like a short time. It was rough going back to the daily grind .  You know how it is, a long holiday weekend or a week vacation, its tough going back to work.  Well take a few months off and it’s a 100 times worse.

Well during my time off I was able to spend a lot of  time with my family, which was  cool.  I really loved the  little things like picking them up at the bus stop and watching them run home in front of me, family game night, and other stuff like that.  I am usually  not around, or don’t have the time, or just plain too tired because of work.  That time off with my family really made me  appreciate the important things in life.  A lot of them  are just little everyday things that you take for granted because life can get so busy.

It has been a wonderful experience watching my girls  grow up, as they say, “before my eyes”.  I am so proud of everything they do.  I’m sure I feel like every other father when I say that I am the “proudest dad ever“.  Between work, keeping the house in order, and taking care of what the girls need, life does get a little busy.  We encourage the girls to do things outside of school, and try to support them as best we can with whatever they want to try.  They are active and keep us pretty busy.

Unfortunately all these  things cost money.  Time to pay the dance studio, it’s about time for softball registration, piano lessons payment is due, tumbling classes (when the heck did we start that ),  school uniforms and supplies, another birthday party,etc, etc, etc.  And that’s only some of the things I’m going to list here, the list seems endless.  We like to keep them busy and exploring things they like, but all of these things put a big  strain on our income.

Now couple all of that with the fact that we are in a very rough economical climate and it makes it tough to get by.  Prices of just about everything has gone up dramatically in the past few years.  It seems that everything has gone up except the total of our paychecks.  isn’t it funny how that works.

During my time off  we started getting behind on our bills.  You know the phone calls start coming in from the collectors, past due notices in the mail,and  the dreaded shut-off sticker on the door.  I knew I had to do something to generate some extra income.  I had the opportunity to research how to make some extra money online.  It was something I was always curious about this but never really found anything that I liked or really trusted.

There wasn’t  a lot of spare cash laying around at the time, so if I was going to do something online I had to make sure it was a good choice.  I couldn’t just throw my money at the first  online moneymaking system I saw, and hope it was a good choice.  It was very hard to find that “special” program that would fit my needs.  And sorting through all the scams and other products that promise the world and once you buy it your on your own.  I did a lot of research  on products that I found , read a lot of reviews,  and read through a lot of forums to get advice.

I would find a program i liked, thought it sounded promising, only to research it a little bit and find out differently.  It’s a scam, not worth the money, no help at all, and no support were the norm when I did my research on them.  That all changed when I found Wealthy Affiliate.  I stumbled it during one or my nights of searching, and decided it was something I should definitely check out.  I actually searched about them for a few days and could only find a few negative things written about their program.  A few of those, you can please everyone type of things.  Nothing really bad, not bad enough to make me not trust it anyway.

Even then, with money being what it was at the time, it took me about a week or so to finally decide that it was worth the risk, and decided to try it.  After all, it wasn’t some $200 or $300 item, it was $40 for a month and I wasn’t committed to anything else.  When I joined I didn’t have any other expenses.  I didn’t need to buy this, or buy that, on top of my subscription.  I paid for my month,  and if I didn’t like it I didn’t have to renew.

Well I haven’t looked back since.  I have been spending a lot of time at their site, and it has really helped me understand how to go about making money online.  I don’t regret it for a second, I know I made the right choice.  NO DOUBT.  I am not anywhere near the point where I can Fire My Boss , but this is a Project I am working hard at.  I am at a point where I am making  some extra cash to help out with the bills, and that’s a good start.  After all, until recently, I never even dreamed I could make anything online.
