This is not an article about staying mentally sharp. Although if you are not careful you can fry your brain staring at a computer screen day after day. In this article I want to discuss ways to keep physically fit as a Internet marketing.

1. Do not eat while you are at your computer. This is an easy habit to get into and can really put on the pounds.

Think about it, the only real exercise you are getting is in your fingers. That is not going to burn very many calories.

A better habit is to eat snack and meals away from your computer. This takes a little more effort and will cut down on the amount of food you eat as well.

2. Do not drink soda pop while you are working online. Pop is fattening. Even diet soda pop is bad for you body in a number of ways.

Pop is addictive and costs a lot of money as well. Water is better for your body. Plust the more water you drink the more you have to go to the bathroom, which gets you up and away fron your computer screen more often.

3. Get out and exercise a little every day. You would be surprised at how much better you feel taking even a 15 mintue walk a couple of times a day.

Its gets the blod flowing. You can clear your mind and it might even help you make money with the ideas you come up with.

4. Get up and stretch a little bit. This will make a world of difference for your neck and back. As we get older our muscles tighten and the range of motion in our joints lessens as well.

5. Avoid junk food. Replace it with healthy snacks such as fruits and vegatables. We have all heard that, but it really does work. You can cut a lot of calories out doing this.

6. Do your social networking at a local gym or fitness club. We all love Facebook, but it does not keep us in shape. You can meet a lot of nice people when you go workout somewhere. Plus you will get in better physical fitness.

Stretching increases blood circulation to various parts of the body, increases energy levels, reduces muscle tension and improves co-ordination. And you can do it right next to your desk.

These are several tips on how to keep in shape as an Internet marketer. If you are out of shape your mind and body will thank you for putting in the effort. So will your bank account as you make money being online

I was reading comments in The Warrior Forum the other day about the biggest Internet Marketing mistakes everyone has made. Here are some of them including my own and my observations about them.

1. Jumping around and not focusing. This would have to be at the top of my list. It is very easy to get a good idea, act on it, and then in 1 week lose interest and jump to something else.

The same thing happens all of the time for people with their marketing strategies. It is very tempting to start one way and then a new product launch comes out and you buy their course and totally change directions. You need to focus on way way of promotion until you become an expert and then take on something else.

2. Spending too much money on Internet courses, ebooks, videos etc. Maybe you should go back and read what you already have stored on your hard drive.

3. Not building a quality keyword list. If you want to build long term Internet success you need organic rankings on Google and Yahoo. The only way to do this is target the keyword phrases on your very long list! You need to do some good keyword research and get your list up to date.

4. Putting all of your eggs in one basket. If you are relying on one program or product and it goes under you are out of business. Brian Garvin told me one time he would rather make $200 a month on 100 programs than $20K a month on one. That is good advice today on how to make money online

5. Sitting in front of your computer and not being productive. It is better to get up once in a while and go take a walk or go to a movie. You come back more refreshed and will accomplish a lot more.

6. Not acting on the information you have learned. The really successful Internet business owners take action. They know if they make a mistake it can always be corrected.

7. Wasting time reading email. This a big time waster if you let it be.

8. Subscribing to too many newsletters from all of the so called gurus. This will throw you off course as much as anything because everyone has a new product or idea they feel you should know about.

9. Checking your stats all of the time to see how much you have made. I would be willing to bet many of you waste a full week every year just checking stats to see if you have went from $5 for the day to $10.

10. Not building a list. This may be the most tragic mistake for people who always have to get new visitors to make a sale. A quality list is an asset worth building.

This would be 10 big Internet marketing mistakes that would show up on most of our lists.

Well I’m just getting started here at Project Fire My Boss and its been a learning experience for me. Just kinda doing it a little at a time now.  The last hour or so before I turn in for the night.  Or whenever I need a break from something I am doing.  I was all ready to dive right in to it. All gung-ho…yeah….I’m gonna build me a awesome page. Lets get to it, yeah right. It doesn’t work like that. at least for me it doesn’t. I found out that it’s not he easiest thing in the world. But then again, like anything else, if you do your research and put your head to it you can get through anything.   I’ll admit that i started this before I  should have, but it was a good learning experience for me.  I was spinning my wheels for a few days on it.  I guess sometimes you have to spin those wheels a little bit before you can get going.  But I look at it this way, at least now I  have a start at it.  Backed off this project a little now and concentrating on my lesson plan over at Wealthy Affiliate.

Now if it wasn’t for all the good people over there at Wealthy Affiliate I would have not even gotten this far.
