So they are the words related to your product that you will use in different spots in your article. Title, body, resource box. etc.

As far as linking goes, you can link your article to your website, another article, or the product site. Sometimes you want to link your keyword to that site or maybe you have an image that you can link to your product. There are many article directories out there and they all have different rules of what links you can put in as well as where they can appear in your article.
